11:11 p.m.: That's all for tonight. BU heads to the championship game to take on Miami of Ohio. That game will be Saturday night at 7 p.m. from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

11:09 p.m.: It's all over! BU is heading to the national championship game.
UVM took a couple shots, but both were stopped by Terriers before getting to the net.
Final score – BU 5, UVM 4
11:08 p.m.: Icing call on Vermont. Tough one for the Catamounts with 56.9 left.
11:07 p.m.: Sneddon calls a timeout to draw up the game-tying play. We'll see if he has any magic in that headset of his.
11:05 p.m.: We're under two minutes. Do-or-die time for Vermont.
11:00 p.m.: BU seizes the lead when the Catamounts again let Colin Wilson stand wherever he wants.
Wilson won a draw in the offensive end back to Higgins, who skated through the circle to fire a wrist shot on net. Wilson walked in, grabbed the rebound and deposited the puck into the net.
Third period, 5:41 – BU 5, UVM 4
10:57 p.m.: With 5:45 left in the game, it's time to fasten your seatbelts — this one's going to have a wild ending.
10:54 p.m.: It's a tie game again!
BU couldn't convert on the power play, but as soon as time expired on the man advantage, Higgins went to the net on a 2-on-1 with Lawrence. Higgins threw the puck across the crease, and it looked like it deflected in off a Vermont defenseman.
Third period, 6:54 – BU 4, UVM 4
10:51 p.m.: Crucial power play coming up for BU. Connolly created an opportunity by going to the net, and the clock is ticking on BU's season.
10:48 p.m.: And just like that, it's Vermont's game again.
Third period 10:20 – UVM 4, BU 3
10:43 p.m.: Nearly eight minutes into the third and BU has dominated thus far, but has nothing to show for it. As UVM showed earlier, they're able to turn it on in spurts. BU needs to score to grab control of this game.
A penalty from Chris Connolly will not help them. UVM prepares for yet another power play.
10:36 p.m.: Bad news for the Catamounts, as the Terriers look like the first-period version of themselves. In the opening minutes, they've forced a number of quality opportunities.
10:33 p.m.: Third period is officially under way. This game could really go in any direction. It's easy to see it going to four overtimes, deadlocked at 3-3. It also wouldn't be shocking to see a 7-6 final in regulation.
10:15 p.m.: As the teams head to their respective locker rooms for the second intermission, you've got to think both teams are feeling good about themselves right now.
UVM proved it could score in bunches, while BU showed it could make a comeback when necessary.
The stage is set for both teams — win the next 20-minute battle and earn a spot in the championship game.
10:12 p.m.: You may never see a prettier goal in college hockey.
BU evens it up with an absolutely majestic power play goal. Bonino gently redirects the puck to himself through the legs of Dan Lawson before finding Vinny Saponari on the doorstep. Sapponari finishes the job by getting the puck over Madore's right shoulder to tie the game.
Second period, 1:18 – BU 3, UVM 3
10:10 p.m.: BU will get a chance to even the score on the power play.
10:03 p.m.: Madore shuts the door on a beautiful opportunity from Higgins and Lawrence, who goes to the box for charging.
Penalties were a problem for BU throughout the postseason, and that trend has continued tonight. It doesn't take an expert to know that it's tough to come back when you're down a man.
9:59 p.m.: The post comes back to rob BU again! Colby Cohen fires a missile toward the net which beats everyone but the crossbar.
The officials may review the play, but again, it looks like the puck hit the bar pretty squarely.
When Bonino hit the post, it seemed inconsequential. Now that it's happened twice, the plays may come back to haunt BU.
9:57 p.m.: Jack Parker calls a timeout to calm the troops. If you could have any coach to talk to a team after such a crushing series of events, you'd choose Jack Parker.
9:54 p.m.: UN-BE-LIEVABLE.
UVM goes ahead 3-2 just seconds after scoring the tying goal. Defenseman Josh Burrows sends a weak wrister on net, but Millan just couldn't make a stop with the glove.
It's amazing how quickly and how drastically this game has changed in the past five minutes.
9:52 p.m.: Ladies and gentlemen, we've got ourselves a tie game.
Millan makes a great save on Viktor Stalberg, but the rebound kicks to Drew MacKenzie. He sends the pass across the crease to Justin Milo, who buries the puck in the net.
9:49 p.m.: BU kills the penalty, but immediately gets called for another.
Meanwhile, I can't help but wonder who Vermont coach Kevin Sneddon talks to on his microphone and why he has such a wimpy little apparatus. He looks more like a World of Warcraft player than a coach.
If the Catamounts make the championship game, let's hope someone gets him a real headset.
9:45 p.m.: There's something you don't see everyday — two Higginses getting in a shoving match. Chris Higgins gives Jonathan Higgins a shove or two after the whistle, and Jonathan happily reciprocates.
Meanwhile, Eric Gryba picks up a penalty for a high stick, though it looked more like an elbow.
9:43 p.m.: The Catamounts have completely turned this game around. They're the ones that are flying around right now and getting all the opportunities. Millan will have to stand tall to keep the lead.
9:40 p.m.: UVM gets on the board with a beautiful shot by Wahsontiio Stacey. The forward carried the puck into the offensive zone, waited for Colin Vock to clear some space for him, and sniped the top corner.
Second period, 16:10 – BU 2, UVM 1
9:38 p.m.: Here's something Vermont is familiar with — video replay. Nick Bonino fired a shot over Madore's right shoulder, but it deflects off the far post.
It was reviewed but ultimately ruled no goal. UVM advanced to this very game thanks to a lengthy video review in which it was ruled that a UVM shot went through the net.
9:36 p.m.: In case you missed it, the winner of this game will play Miami of Ohio on Saturday night. Here's a recap of Miami's win over Bemidji State.
9:33 p.m.: The second period is underway. We'll see if Sneddon fired up his team during the break. If he did, I hope he took his Madonna microphone off. I'm not sure how the players would take to that.
End of first, BU 2, UVM 0
BU outplayed UVM all period. It's bad news for the Catamounts that the Terriers are playing as fast and looking as confident as they have all year. They looked truly unbeatable in the first.
For things to turn around for Vermont, they'll need to get a bounce to go its way and hope to catch BU at a moment of vulnerability.
9:12 p.m.: Vermont has a chance to score before the period ends, as Colby Cohen gets sent off for a cross check with just under two minutes to play.
9:05 p.m.: BU gets another goal, this one from Jason Lawrence.
Though it was a pretty goal, it would never have happened if Millan hadn't made a huge save on the other end of the ice.
On the power play, Jack Downing slapped a shot at Millan, who got a good piece of it. The puck deflected in the air off the cross bar, but was cleared away.
The Terriers then wreaked havoc in the offensive end with their top line — Wilson, Lawrence and Chris Higgins — who forced a turnover and made some nifty passes to hook Lawrence up on the doorstep.
First period, 3:33 – BU 2, UVM 0
9:02 p.m.: Millan answers his first test of the night. Brian Roloff outskates Matt Gilroy – something that nobody has been able to do all year — to get a breakaway opportunity. Millan stuck his right pad down to stuff the shot.
8:53 p.m.: So much for that whole "no scoring chances" theme.
Colin Wilson camps out in front of the net and redirects a shot from the point from Shattenkirk past goaltender Rob Madore for the first goal of the night.
The Catamounts gave Shattenkirk way too much room at the blue line and also made the mistake of allowing one of the best goal scorers in the nation to stand wherever he wanted. With all day to make a play, Shattenkirk waited for Wilson to get into position before the two executed a picture-perfect goal.
First period, 8:41 – BU 1, UVM 0
8:50 p.m.: About midway through the first, neither team has really put together a quality scoring chance. Both goalies have been tested though, and neither has allowed his nerves to let in a softy.
8:45 p.m.: In addition to the obvious, a lot of BU players are playing this game for revenge. The Catamounts ended BU's season last year in the semifinals of the Hockey East Tournament, so I can't imagine too many Terriers have forgotten about that one.
8:42 p.m.: The Terriers kill the penalty, as the game takes its first break with 13:45 remaining in the first period.
It's hard to tell which ring Jack Parker is wearing on the BU bench, but it looks like it could be his national championship ring from 1995. Perhaps he's trying to inspire his players.
8:38 p.m.: UVM will be the first to go on the power play. Kevin Shattenkirk gets whistled for the elbow.
An early goal would be tremendous for UVM.
8:36 p.m.: We're under way. BU gets the first opportunity of the night when David Warsofsky fires a shot from the slot. It looks like it was tipped by a stick and went wide.
8:32 p.m.: The TV feed shows a clip from the UVM locker room, where head coach Kevin Sneddon reminds his players that they have "the great state of Vermont" behind them.
They also have two wins on their side, as the Catamounts beat the Terriers on two of three occasions.
8:03 p.m.: The puck is scheduled to drop tonight at 8:30 p.m. at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
Freshman Kieran Millan will stand between the pipes for the Terriers. The 19-year-old has exceeded all expectations this season. There's a nice feature about him and his calmness in BU's student paper, the Daily Free Press.
7:43 p.m.: Hello and welcome to the live blog for the Frozen Four matchup between the Terriers of Boston University and the Catamounts of the University of Vermont.
BU has been at the top of the national rankings all year long, so UVM will look to play spoiler tonight.
