GOAL! BU's Colby Cohen takes a slapshot that is blocked, but deflected past Reichard and into the net, and BU wins it 4-3 in overtime. What an ending to an incredible game.
3:01: The fatigue is certainly setting in with the majority of the offense trying to be generated off dump and chase.

19:42: Do you believe in miracles? With Mike Eruzione in the stands, BU ties it up with two goals in the final minute of play. Nick Bonino's one-timer on the pass from Matt Gilroy
19:01: It's not over yet as BU punches one in with a scramble in front of Reichard. Zach Cohen gets the goal for the Terriers.
15:52: BU kills off another penalty, but Miami's Trent Vogelhuber rips a wristshot right inside the far post to take a 3-1 lead with just over four minutes remaining.
15:21: Miami alsmost pops in another one with a few rebounds right in front of Millan.
13:38: BU gets called again as Jason Lawrence goes to the box. The seventh penalty of the game for BU, and an opportunity for Miami to all but end the game.
12:31: The forecheck of Miami had been relentless, and it paid off for the RedHawks. Tommy Wingels was sitting in front of Millan, and a juicy rebound popped out right to him, and he banged it home. Miami leads 2-1 with just over seven minutes left.
8:20: The work of the Miami PP on the halfwall didn't go as planned as BU was able to gain possession every time Miami worked it down low. The RedHawks are now 0-for-6 on the PP. You would think so many successful penalty kills would give BU the momentum.
3:11: Just over three minutes gone in the third, and the intensity has picked up to a new level with the next goal having the chance to be the deciding goal.
1:40: Miami's Mercier comes in with a set of dangles, just dancing around the BU defense, but Millan comes up with the save.

0:00: At the end of two, its 1-1.
BU killed off another PP, and if Miami could ever get their PP together, this game would be lopsided by now.
The BU offense has been a lot better since midway through the second, after a few awful line changes put a scare into Jack Parker and the BU bench.
Twenty minutes of hockey left to go. It should be intense.
17:17: There are good penalties, and the penalty there was a good one. A tripping call that prevented a great scoring chance for Miami, and BU will go on the kill yet again.
12:41: BU is trying to slow the game down with their breakout, waiting behind the net. A few sloppy line changes nearly cost them, and their experience should take over and change the pace of the game to the way they want to play. Not the way Miami tries to dictate.
8:13: A poor PP from BU as they have only one shot with the man advantage in the game. A lot of passing only to turn it over.
6:09: Miami gets called for tripping as Justin Mercier is going to the box.
5:15: Another successful kill for BU, but their discipline needs to improve quickly. They were able to come away with the against UVM after committing seven penalties, but they are already four deep against Miami with the second period not halfway over.
3:05: The momentum has certainly shifted here as the RedHawks are peppering Millan, leading to a shot that hits the post. Now Yip gets called for a penalty for BU. Things are beginning to go Miami's way since the tying goal.
2:01: It wasn't a short-handed goal, but it was close to being one. The RedHawks find the back of the net with some hard work as Gary Steffes puts one hom to tie it at one. Millan nearly had it covered, but it was loose enough for Steffes to knock it in. — After review, the goal stands.
1:48: BU is unsuccessful on their first PP attempt of the game on the PP that carried over from the end of the first.
Start of the 2nd
0:00: That will do it for the first period. BU takes a 1-0 lead into the locker room, and the Terriers are 40 minutes away from bringing a title back to Boston.
19:48: And the refs begin the process of evening it up with a call on the Red Hawks.
17:51: BU kills off another penalty, even with Miami finally getting their PP together, and getting some quality scoring chances.
15:46: Another penalty called on BU, the third penalty of the first.
15:15: Chris Connolly gets BU on the board with the first goal of the game. A misdirected shot finds Connolly right on top of the crease, and he bangs it home to take the lead.
14:35: Nick Bonino, and then a shot block leads to an odd-man rush for Miami, but they are unable to get anything going.
12:15: 4-on-4 hockey here with both teams being assessed penalties, and the ice is wide open for two minutes.
10:00: Halfway through the first, but a pretty even period as far as possession goes. Obviously the Red Hawks had the two man advantages, which they were unsuccessful on, but aside from that the play has been even.
8:07: Brandon Yip of BU rips a wrister from the hashmarks, but it goes right into the chest of Cody Reichard.
7:19: Another successful kill for the Terriers as Miami-Ohio falls to 0-for-2 on the PP.
5:19: BU kills off a penalty, just to get penalized for a cross check immediately after. Playing a man down all game certainly won't be favorable to the Terriers.
1:02: The NCAA championship is just underway with a quick, back-and-forth pace already between BU and Miami-Ohio.

6:02 p.m.: Welcome to the NCAA hockey championship live blog between Boston University and Miami-Ohio in the nation's capital.
We will be following the action all game long as the Terriers try to bring home the national title for the first time in over a decade.
