Blue Jays Asking Too Much of Mets for Halladay

According to, Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi's asking price for ace Roy Halladay is way too much for the New York Mets.

Jon Heyman is reporting that in exchange for the Cy Young hurler, Riaccardi wants Mets' top outfield prospect Fernando Martinez, young pitchers Bobby Parnell and Jon Niese and shortstop prospect Ruben Tejada.

Mets GM Omar Minaya isn't admitting to anything, yet.

"I am not going to comment on rumors." Minaya told "We're going to continue to talk to different clubs. If we have the opportunity to improve the club, does that make us buyers? Yes. We're going to continue to talk to clubs."
