Dave Poulin, who played center for the Bruins from 1990-1993, will be joining the Maple Leafs' front office as the team's vice president of hockey operations.
Poulin was hired by Leafs general manager and former Providence Friar Brian Burke.
"Dave and I have known each other for a very long time," Burke said in a statement. "I was fortunate enough to represent Dave during his playing career and he was also a valuable resource to me in a scouting capacity in 2006-07 and at the start of 2008-09."
The now 50-year-old Poulin joined the Bruins in early 1990 after serving more than seven seasons with the Flyers. In four years with Boston, he scored 34 goals and assisted on 68 others in 165 games. In 724 career games, Poulin potted 205 goals and 325 assists for 530 points.
