Hall Worthy? Picking Cooperstown’s Future Inductees

Now that Jim Rice ended one of baseball’s biggest debates by finally getting a call from Cooperstown, baseball fans in New England can begin some new debates when it comes to Hall of Famers.

The Boston Globe’s Tony Massarotti stopped by to play a little Hall of Fame name game with SportsDesk host Cole Wright, guessing which player should or shouldn’t be a future Hall of Famer based on their stats alone.

Numbers play a great deal in joining baseball immortality, but with the steroid era, the dead ball era and the different relationships between the media and the slugger, voters must look past numbers when deciding who gets in and who stays out of Cooperstown’s hallowed halls.
