After a
successful and historical All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium in 2008, the
Midsummer Classic is set to return to the Big Apple in 2013.

Next season’s All-Star Game will be played in Anaheim, 2011 will be
in Arizona and 2012 will most likely be in Kansas City. That leaves
2013 open for the National League and a source told the New York Post on Tuesday that the game will be played in the New York Mets’ Citi Field.

“That’s the way it’s looking,” a source told the Post. “That also
gives Citi Field time to get everything set. The Mets deserve to have
an All-Star Game.”

Apparently the Washington Nationals are also looking to host the
2013 game, but it is likely they will have to wait until the 2015
season for a chance to host, as they wait in line to host along with
the Mets.
