As the landscape of news media shifts with each passing Tweet, everyone often gets reminded that not all Tweets were created equally — and not all of them were created by their supposed author.
After last week's Internet tirade about not yet being signed drew some media reports, Glen Davis told GM Danny Ainge that the Tweets were posted by an imposter, The Boston Herald reports.
Some of the messages, posted under the account name "bigbabybball," included:
"Why is this [expletive] taking so long!!! I really don't understand!!!!"
"Anybody know what's going on with the Celtics? Cause I don't!"
"I wonder how the weather [is in] Boston cause I haven't been there in so long!!!!"
"I like some of you guys' ideas!!!! [I'm] going to tell Danny about some of you guys' ideas!!!! I don't know why then they sign (Williams) before me!!"
Davis, who according to the Herald recently began "talking actual numbers" with the Celtics, was made aware of the comments and quickly called Ainge to put out any potential fire.
