Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce was able to avoid the law from being indicted in the Plaxico Burress gun case on Monday in Manhattan, and now all he has to do is avoid a suspension from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for being involved in the incident.

Pierce was told by the grand jury investigating the gun charges against ex-teammate Burress that he will not face criminal charges, though the wide receiver was not as lucky.

Burress was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment for the November indicent, in which he shot himself at The Latin Quarter night club in Manhattan.
