Jets Cut Four, Including Former Harvard Quarterback Pizzotti

The Jets made a few more roster moves on Monday, cutting four players, including former Harvard quarterback Chris Pizzotti.

The National Football Post reports that linebacker Craig Kobel, safety Nate Ness and wide receiver Huey Whittaker have also been sent packing.

Pizzotti's road to the Meadowlands has been especially rocky: He signed with New York as an undrafted free agent on May 1 and was waived on Aug. 15. He was then re-signed on Aug. 21 before being cut again. While at Harvard, he threw for 5,675 yards, 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, and he was named to the All-Ivy League team twice.

Kobel came to the Jets from the AFL's Philadelphia Soul. Ness, an Arizona product, was cut by the Browns before training camp. Whittaker, a 28-year-old South Florida alum, has spent time with Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, NFL Europe and the AFL.
