Rays Claim Gregg Zaun Off Waivers The latest leg of Gregg Zaun's tour around the majors will be swinging through Florida.

The veteran backstop was picked up by the Rays off waivers on Friday, according to WJZ of Baltimore. In exchange, the Rays will send Triple-A catcher Chad Moeller and either a player to be named later or cash considerations to Baltimore.

Zaun, 38, will join his eighth big league club since entering the majors in 1995. This year, he was batting .244 with four homers and 13 RBIs in 56 games with the Orioles. The Rays will be the third AL East team for which Zaun has played, after spending five years with the Blue Jays
