Bruins Rookie Squad Falls to Penguins in Tournament Finale

The Bruins rookie squad fell to the Pittsburgh Penguins rookies, 3-2, Thursday afternoon in Kitchener, Ontario in the final game of the rookie tournament.

Jordan Knackstedt and Jeff LoVecchio scored for the Bruins in the game and Marc Zanetti, Jason Wilson and Zach Hamill recorded assists.

Scott Fletcher fought Pittsburgh's Brian Strait in the first period.

The Bruins finished the tournament with a 2-1-0 record. The rookies will now join the rest of the Bruins training camp roster for the official start of the 2009 training camp this weekend.
