A Bills fan vandalized Leodis McKelvin's lawn late on Monday night after the cornerback's fourth-quarter fumble cost Buffalo the game against New England, but McKelvin is unperturbed by the incident. Initially, he was angry, but now he is amused and he's not interested in arresting the offending fan.
"It's just one little incident," he told ESPN.com. "I hope it doesn't happen anymore. I was mad, I was kind of like angry in a way, but I was laughing a little bit for what they put on there."
According to reports, the fan wrote the score of Monday's game, along with an obscenity, in white spray paint on the lawn. The Patriots won 25-24 after overcoming an 11-point deficit in the final two minutes of the game.
After the Patriots scored a touchdown to make it 24-19 with just over two minutes left, McKelvin caught the ensuing kickoff in the end zone but chose to run it back. He was stripped by Brandon Meriweather and the fumble was recovered on the 31-yard line by Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski, setting up Tom Brady's game-winning touchdown to Ben Watson.
