Former Giant and Super Bowl XLII hero David Tyree might not be suiting up for Big Blue anymore, but that doesn't mean the owner of one of the greatest catches in football history will remain jobless for long. Tyree worked out for team officials of the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday along with a number of players, the team's Web site reports.

As of right now, the Ravens are planning on starting the season with just four wideouts. However, head coach John Harbaugh said the team is always looking to upgrade their roster, but did not say whether or not Tyree would be signed.

“We can play with four, because with our offense, we can put any number of players out there that we want,” Harbaugh told the Web site. “It’s a little more difficult on defense. The team puts four wide receivers out there, or five wide receivers, you’ve got to be able to match. On offense, we can put one wide receiver out there if we want, if we need to, and we’ve got some flexibility with our players and guys we can put on the field.”

The current wide receivers on the roster for the Ravens are Derrick
Mason
, Mark Clayton, Kelley Washington and Demetrius Williams.

Tyree missed all of 2008 after undergoing offseason knee surgery and then injuring his hamstring. He battled groin, hamstring and knee injuries in training camp this year before being waived by the Giants.
