Jets Defensive Tackle Kris Jenkins Listed as Questionable For Sunday

Rex Ryan doesn't have time to worry about Kerry Rhodes' trash-talking saga right now. He's too busy worrying about whether defensive tackle Kris Jenkins can hold up during the Jets' critical contest against  New England on Sunday.

The four-time Pro Bowler is currently listed as questionable for the game, according to The New York Post.

When asked whether he'll be keeping a closer eye on Jenkins, Ryan said, "I guess a little bit. I like to keep fresh pass rushers in there, anyway."

Regardless of how many fresh pass rushers he has, though, nobody makes up for the loss of Jenkins, who registered 37 tackles, 3 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble in 16 games in 2008.

"He's such an unusual guy," Ryan said. "If he's not in there, the other team will no-huddle you then. He's that kind of difference-maker. I feel good with the guys we have behind him, [but] there are only one or two Kris Jenkins in the league. You have to be smart with him."

As for the trash-talking war his players have instigated over the past several days, Ryan had little to say other than, "I don't think it really matters. When it is kicked off, there is 11 on their side and 11 on our side. It's on and all that other stuff is out the window."
