Matsuzaka Cruises In Single-A Start What better way to prepare for your first major league start in three months than to beat up on some Single-A hitters in a minor league playoff game?

In what was likely his last tune-up start, Daisuke Matsuzaka held the White Sox Single-A affiliate, the Winston-Salem Dash, to just one run on three hits over 6 2/3 innings. Dice-K struck out seven, walked one and threw 89 pitches in the outing.

With Tim Wakefield nursing a sore back, Matsuzaka may start Tuesday or Wednesday against the Angels at Fenway Park.
