Eric Mangini is no longer with the New York Jets, but an injury report regarding old friend Brett Favre might cause Mangini and his former employer some trouble.

Mangini said he has not been contacted by the NFL about possibly covering up an injury report regarding Favre during last season with the Jets. But on Thursday, Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum admitted that the Jets should have disclosed the news about Favre's torn biceps tendon on the mandatory weekly injury report last season.

The NFL is in preliminary stages of investigating how the Jets handled Favre's injury and the report. If Mangini and the Jets violated league policy, they could be disciplined for their actions.
