NFL Kickoff an Exciting Time for Wannabe GMs Everywhere With the NFL season now in full swing, that can mean only one thing: It's time for all of us wannabe football GMs to navigate our way through the fantasy season.

Fantasy football has fans on the edge of their seats every single Sunday, and not to toot my own horn or anything, but my squad is jam-packed full of playmakers!

The list begins with a quarterback who touches the treetops at 6-foot-5 and has a laser-rocket arm: It's Archie's kid Peyton Manning. My first choice would have been Tom Brady (with whom I dominated two seasons ago), but for a second selection, the league's best pitchman wasn't a bad pickup.

After the quarterback position, I really appreciate the way that the Yahoo auto-draft paired me up with Manning's running mate Joseph Addai, who has proven year in and year out that he can produce.

At wideout, Terrell Owens came up big in the clutch for me last week as well. I was down by less than two points to Kathryn Tappen heading into Monday night's games, and after two snags for 46 yards, T.O. sealed the deal for me!

I snuck by — barely — due to the fact that Thursday night's game snuck up on me, and after taking a look at my roster Friday afternoon, I realized that my gamer Percy Harvin had not been inserted into my starting stable.

I also failed to start my kicker, Jason Hanson from the Detroit Lions. "The Detroit Lions?" you ask. That's right. Here's the formula: Any time you have a team as garbage as the Lions, they're going to fail to put points on the board, especially through touchdowns. So who scores the bulk of the points? That's right, the kicker.

The Philadelphia Eagles' defense really bailed me out, tallying 35 points — and what a shock! Who knew that they would sack whichever of the three Carolina quarterbacks was in the game to the tune of a five-pack?

This week, my roster has been tweaked for optimal results, and — boy oh boy — I'll need all the help I can get. You see, this week I go head-to-head with John Chandler, and this guy is scary smart when it comes to strategy. He already released a Belichickian statement in reference to his loss in Week 1. And to tell you the truth, the hiccup in the opening matchup hasn't affected him at all. I look forward to the challenge, but it won't be easy. J.C. has a stacked squad, and the battle can swing anyone's way at any time.

I thoroughly enjoy the friendly chatter on the league's message board, but this week, I think I'm going to take the Chandler/Belichick route and keep it very businesslike. Hence my team name, "I MEAN BUSINESS"!

See you next week when I will hopefully be a perfect 2-0!
