Red Sox Recall Reddick From Triple-A Pawtucket

After a successful stint with the Red Sox earlier in the season, outfielder Josh Reddick has been recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket. He will be activated for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Reddick's last tour of the majors lasted from Aug. 6-15. In that span, he filled in admirably as Boston's starting outfielders seemed to drop like flies, registering a homer and two RBIs in nine games. He was optioned to Triple-A on Aug. 15 and has since played in 18 games, going 9-for-71 with six RBIs.

Reddick was drafted by Boston in the 17th round of the 2006 draft and began the 2009 season with Double-A Portland. He hit .277 with 13 homers and 29 RBIs.
