Report: Denver Watching Jets For Signs of Tampering With Marshall Brandon Marshall's dedication to the Broncos hasn't been all that enthusiastic lately. But maybe it's because there's a third party involved.

ESPN.com reports that Denver is carefully monitoring comments made by the Jets which indicate that they are tampering with the suspended receiver.

Despite the fact that Marshall has made it exceedingly clear that he wants out of Denver, first-year head coach Josh McDaniels still plans to have him around for the 2009 season. The receiver is currently suspended on the heels of inappropriate behavior during practice last week.

"There [are] no discussions whatsoever taking place between the Denver Broncos and any team in the National Football League regarding Brandon Marshall," McDaniels told the Denver Post. "We're looking forward to having Brandon back on the sixth of September and starting our [season-opening] preparation with him."

If the Jets are tampering, it could explain Marshall's flippant behavior during practices and his outspokenness regarding his desire to be traded. If he knew he'd have to stick it out for the Broncos, perhaps he'd tone down his act for fear of another suspension.

If the Jets are "tampering," though, Marshall may think he has an easy out from Denver and is therefore unconcerned the repercussions of his behavior.

Newsday released a report on Wednesday that New York is "seriously considering" adding Marshall to its roster, but according to sources — and McDaniels — the two teams have had zero contact.

In the meantime, the Jets better watch out. Denver is watching.
