The Patriots have been working out a group of wide receivers this week, the National Football Post reports.

The Pats looked at former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Chris Davis, former Carolina Panthers kick returner Larry Beavers, as well as wideouts Anthony Armstrong, Courtney Taylor and William Franklin.

The 5-foot-10, 181-pound Davis has three career touchdowns for the Titans in the last two seasons. The 2007 fourth-rounder out of Florida State also returned 31 punts for 293 yards (9.5 average) his rookie year.

Wide receivers Wes Welker and Randy Moss didn't participate in Friday's practice and are both listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
