All summer long, Richard Seymour was planning on playing this coming Monday night but he probably never imagined it would be for the Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders, who are taking on the Chargers Monday night after the Patriots play the Bills, are planning on Seymour's arrival as early as Saturday according to ESPN. The former Pats defensive end is also expected to suit up and play for Oakland in its opener against division rivals San Diego.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter:
Seymour is expected to fly to Oakland as early as Saturday and arrive in time to play Monday night's game against the San Diego Chargers. Oakland did not give Seymour a new contract or a promise not to slap its franchise tag on him after this season. But Seymour will not risk losing any of this year's $3.685 million base salary and he will be that much closer to free agency in a potentially uncapped year in 2010.

The Pro Bowler was traded to Oakland from the Patriots in exchange for a 2011 first round draft pick. Upon being traded, Seymour failed to show up to Raider camp and was given a five-day letter by the club which stated that he would face suspension if he failed to show up within five days.
