Terrell Owens Calls Out Rodney Harrison for HGH Use

Terrell Owens didn’t catch a pass on Sunday for the first time in 185 games. After the game, he abstained from calling out his quarterback and coaching staff (well, sort of).

On his way home, T.O. (or more likely his assistant) posted a happy message on Twitter, ensuring everyone that it was all gumdrops and lollipops in the world of Terrell Owens.

Then, Rodney Harrison called him a clown (among other things) on national television. Owens’ Twitter page then turned into an angry diatribe against the former safety. From Owens’ fingers to your eyes:

I could less about Rodney Harrison! Anybody tht using steroids, yes STEROIDS rodney, is a cheater & cheated the game!

Is tht Y u used steroids b/c u were worried about ur stats or ws it b/c u were losing it? Lol! U’re a loser & a cheater? Got any steroid …

Hey rodney! Send me sum steroids 2 the Bills facility next week!

Owens is referring to Harrison’s admission in 2007 that he had taken human growth hormone in an effort to recover from an injury in 2004. He was suspended for the first four games of the season.

After the first round of Rodney anger subsided, T.O. seemed to be in a better place on Sunday evening. Then came Monday morning, when T.O. read some replies to his comments:

@Humbleser7 yeh! HGH isn’t legal period n our league. Tht ws a cover up! U get ur facts str8!! Tht’s str8 ignorance 2 use if it’s illegal.

@Humbleser7 he coulda used a hyperbaric chamber like me if he wanted 2 recover frm an injury! Remember that! Dn’t make excuses 4 him! Lol!

Since I kno the media reads my tweets, will sum1 ask rodney how long the cycles take b4 I feel results of the steroids whn he sends em? Lol!

Always a crafty wordsmith, T.O. even took time to take some veiled shots at his teammates and coaches, something he so carefully avoided in his postgame news conference:

@Power_of_Steel i didn’t drop any balls 2day, nt sure wht game u watched. just b/c a ball touches my hands doesn’t mean i dropped it!

Sittin n locker rm thinking about wht cn ‘I’ do 2 help this team. A couple of 1sts 4 me, 1st time 1-2, 1st time w/no catches since ’96 …

@mzlisaphan didn’t get a ball 2 catch

Unfortunately, the Twitter account for Harrison that was followed by the media so closely over the past month turned out to be a farce, so the heavily opinionated commentator will be forced to take the high road in this one.

When Harrison announced that he’d be working for NBC, he said he wouldn’t be afraid to call out former teammates and former opponents, accepting the fact that it may not win him any friends in the league. But really, using the word “clown” to describe someone who shows up at a news conference wearing purple sunglasses and a derby hat isn’t the most outrageous thing to say.

As for Owens, he’s got a game to focus on. If the Bills beat the Dolphins — as they should — then The Angry T.O. Show will be on hiatus for at least another week. But a slip-up in the division to a weak Miami team just might bring about some more classics from the Hall of Fame wideout.

Is this a good things for the Bills? Or course not. But for everyone else, it’s some high-quality entertainment.
