It appears that the Patriots will have a key piece of their offense back for their Week 3 game against the Falcons on Sunday at Gillette Stadium. According to The Boston Globe, wide receiver Wes Welker returned to practice on Thursday after missing practice on Wednesday.

Welker was present during the media portion of practice, participating in stretching and the beginning of team drills. He did not play in the Patriots’ 16-9 loss to the Jets last Sunday due to a knee injury.

In one game this season, the Patriots’ Week 1 win over the Bills, Welker has 12 catches for 93 yards. Last season, he had 111 catches for 1,165 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games for the Patriots.
