The Boston Bruins will host the second annual "Boston Bruins Holiday Tournament" from Sunday, Dec. 27 through Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Haverhill Valley Forum.

The event will begin with a skills-based hockey challenge involving the coaches, with the winners receiving tickets to see the 2010 NHL/Bridgestone Winter Classic between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Bruins on Jan. 1, 2010 at Fenway Park. Eight teams, one from each division, will get the tickets to the game.

Additionally, the winning Mite and Squirt squads will also be awarded passes to the Winter Classic. The Mite and Squirt squads will compete in a round robin style tournament over the four days, with the best teams advancing to the semifinals and the championships. Each team is guaranteed to play at least three times during the four-day event, and the fee to participate is $850 per team, with a limit of six teams in each division.

Winners of the Mite and Squirt squad tournament, as well as the runners-up, will receive awards, and will also be highlighted on the Boston Bruins' website, BostonBruins.com. Everyone at the event will receive a Bruins gift bag and tournament t-shirt for participating.

Other events at the annual Tournament include a raffle featuring the chance win autographed Bruins memorabilia, and the opportunity to buy game tickets for the remainder of the 2010 season. The Bruins mascot, Blades, will be posing for photos and greeting fans throughout the event.

The Haverhill Valley Forum, which includes two ice surfaces, a glass-enclosed overlook on the mezzanine, a full-service pro shop, ample concessions, and a 3000 square-foot training center, is the perfect location for the second annual Boston Bruins Holiday Tournament.
