The Patriots released their final injury report for Sunday’s game against the Broncos, and linebacker Jerod Mayo is one of six players listed as questionable.

Mayo, who has been sidelined since suffering a right MCL sprain in Week 1 against the Bills, was upgraded after being listed as doubtful last week against the Ravens. There's no guarantee Mayo will play in Denver, but the status upgrade is a sign his knee is healing, and he's getting closer to returning to action.

The other five New England players listed as questionable are nose tackle Vince Wilfork (ankle), wide receiver Wes Welker (knee), offensive tackle Nick Kaczur (ankle), cornerback Shawn Springs (knee) and safety James Sanders (shoulder). All six had limited participation in practice this week.

Running back Fred Taylor is out after having surgery on his ankle Thursday.

Linebacker Adalius Thomas missed practice Thursday and Friday with a non-injury related issue and is listed as probable.

For the Broncos, running back Correll Buckhalter (ankle) and linebacker/fullback Soencer Larson (shoulder) are out. Buckhalter leads Denver in rushing with 267 yards on 37 carries.

Safety Brian Dawkins (knee/shoulder), guard Ben Hamilton (hamstring) and cornerback Alphonso Smith (ankle) are questionable.
