Patriots Bring in Free Agents for Workouts

The Patriots may be on a bye week, but Bill Belichick and the Patriots' front office aren't going to sit back and relax.

Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com is reporting that the Pats have brought in a handful of free agents to keep their emergency contacts list fresh and updated should any unexpected injuries occur in the coming weeks.

According to Reiss, the Pats are looking at:
Kicker Connor Barth (Dolphins, Chiefs; College: UNC)
Tight end Tony Curtis (Ravens, Cowboys; College: Portland State)
Linebacker Danny Lansanah (Dolphins, Packers; College: UConn)
Punter Tim Masthay (College: Kentucky)
Kicker Mike Nugent (Buccaneers, Jets; College: Ohio State)
Punter Sam Paulescu (Cowboys, Broncos; College: Oregon State)
Linebacker Pago Togafau (Cardinals, Eagles; College: Idaho State)
Linebacker Thomas Williams (Seahawks, Jaguars; College: USC)
Long snapper Joe Zelenka (Jaguars, Redskins, 49ers; College: Wake Forest)
