In conjunction with National Hispanic Heritage Month, which began on Sept. 15, the Patriots launched Football Patriotico, a Spanish-language blog featuring original content about the team.

Football Patriotico features original reporting, analysis and photos by writer and photographer Martin Morales, who has served as a photographer for Getty Images and a journalist for Spanish publications such as Sus Deportes Magazine, El Mundo newspaper and ESPN Deportes' NFL Weekly.

"American football is seen all over the world," Morales said. "Millions have access to the games, but there is very little access to original Spanish-language content. Fans who want to learn about the Patriots now can on Football Patriotico."

The site will serve the 875,225 Latinos currently living in New England and will supplement the eight registered Spanish-speaking fan clubs on Patriots.com, based in Central America, South America and Spain.

"Martin will be writing for our growing national and international Spanish-speaking base," said Patriots director of interactive media Fred Kirsch.

Morales will also pen a monthly Spanish-language newsletter. Fans can sign up for it here.
