Report: Michael Crabtree Agrees to Contract With 49ers The best team in the NFC West is about to get better.

Rookie wide receiver Michael Crabtree has agreed to a contract with the San Francisco 49ers after a lengthy holdout, according to ESPN.com.

League sources told ESPN that Crabtree will sign a six-year deal that Crabtree could void after five if he meets certain incentives.

Crabtree was the only player drafted in this year’s first round who hadn’t signed, holding out for a contract based on where he was expected to be drafted, not where he actually was drafted. Crabtree and the 49ers reportedly hadn’t spoken in about three weeks before meeting late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

The 22-year-old is expected to report to the team’s training facility on Wednesday. The 49ers are 3-1, ahead of Arizona (1-2), Seattle (1-3) and St. Louis (0-4).
