One of the hottest topics throughout the league this season has been the protection — or overprotection — of quarterbacks.

Another log was tossed on the fire Thursday when the Titans' Kyle Vanden Bosch was fined $5,000 for a low hit on Peyton Manning last week, according to tennessean.com.

Vanden Bosch was penalized on the play but still disagrees with the call, he told the Web site.

"I don't ever want to do anything to hurt the team, but I don't know if I could've done anything different personally on my end," Vanden Bosch said.

This week, the 30-year-old will need to be careful, as hits on Tom Brady sparked the debate two weeks ago in the Patriots' game against the Ravens.
