Many fans of that team celebrated by … going on the Internet and leaving comments under stories.


While it’s no substitution for a champagne shower, it certainly generated a lot of responses from Red Sox fans. One such fan fought back.

‘s floater from behind the basket on Tuesday drew instant parallels to Larry Bird‘s from yesteryear. Bird’s didn’t count, but Rondo’s did, and it earned him the “Play of the Day” on NBA.com on Wednesday.


Not only is the shot amazing, but so too is the Philly announcer’s ability to maintain an unenthusiastic, monotone call on a truly spectacular play. He even seems somewhat disappointed that he had just witnessed someone hit a shot from behind the backboard.
