Bruins to Host AT&T Legends Classic on Jan. 2

Can't get tickets to the Winter Classic game between the Bruins and the Flyers at Fenway Park?

Have no fear. You have another chance to see a terrific hockey game at America's most beloved ballpark.

Bruins principal owner Charlie Jacobs announced on Monday that the Bruins will host the first Boston Bruins AT&T Legends Classic on Jan. 2, 2010 at the Fens at 2 p.m. The game will feature Bruins legends and celebrities in a hockey game at the outdoor rink, and net proceeds will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation, the NHL and the NHLPA's Hockey Fights Cancer foundation and the Red Sox Foundation.

Among those expected to highlight the event are Bruins legend and current vice president Cam Neely, actor Denis Leary, actor Tim Robbins, Hollywood director Bobby Farrelly and musician Ken Casey. Actor Lenny Clarke will participate in an off-ice capacity.

The Bruins legends include Bob Beers, NESN's own Andy Brickley, Bob Sweeney, Don Sweeney, Terry O'Reilly and Ken Hodge.

NHL legends Brian Leetch and Pat LaFontaine will also play, while off-ice participants include John Bucyk, Milt Schmidt and Derek Sanderson

Tickets for the event will go on sale on Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. and will cost $10-$25. They can be purchased online at Bostonbruins.com or by calling 1-617-624-BEAR. They can also be purchased at any Tickemaster outlet or at the TD Garden box office.
