Celtics Shoot for Bounce-Back Win Against Pacers in Indiana The Celtics are now among the mere two-loss mortals of the NBA, and it's back to the grind of a difficult travel schedule.

One night after a sloppy 97-86 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on their home court, the Celtics hit the road to take on the 3-3 Pacers in Indiana. They're in need of a win to bounce back from their second-half collapse in Boston, but on the tail end of a back-to-back weekend, this one won't be easy.

When and Where

Saturday, Nov. 14, 7 p.m. ET (CSNE)
Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Ind.

Records

Celtics (8-2, First place in Atlantic Division)
Pacers (3-3, Fifth place in Central Division)

Head To Head

The Celtics are 6-1 against the Pacers over the last two seasons. The one loss came in Indianapolis on Nov. 1, 2008, when the Celtics scored just 38 points in the second half and the Pacers ran away with a 95-79 win. Paul Pierce shot 3-for-15 from the floor that night.

Skinny

No one likes a one-man team, but with the underrated and rapidly improving Danny Granger leading the way in Indiana, that's what these Pacers look like. Granger has been dominant this season, averaging 24.2 points and 6.7 rebounds to carry the ballclub, but this team needs its young talent (Roy Hibbert, Brandon Rush, Tyler Hansbrough) to step up in a big way this season.

Overheard

"It’s never permanent. The next generation of Celtics? Nah, I don’t think like that. You can’t guarantee anything in this league. There’s a total of, I think, six guys who have played their entire careers for one team. I mean, Kevin [Garnett] has been traded. It may have been his option, but he got traded. Ray [Allen] got traded. Those are future Hall of Fame players."
–Rajon Rondo in this weekend's Boston Globe magazine

The Hawks soared over the Celtics.

Rajon Rondo shares some wisdom.

The Nets are still winless.

The Knicks aren't much better than the Nets.

Could LeBron James switch numbers?

Outlook

The Celtics might have some trouble recovering from Friday night's setback against the Atlanta Hawks, but they've got the right opponent on Saturday night to right the ship. The Celtics have owned these Pacers in the past, and Boston shouldn't expect anything different this time around. Expect a big night from captain Paul Pierce as the Celtics get back on track.
