After taking Thursday off for Thanksgiving, the Patriots were back on the practice field on Friday in preparation for Monday night's showdown against the undefeated Saints.

The only three Patriots who did not participate in Friday's session were Julian Edelman (forearm), Fred Taylor (ankle) and Sebastian Vollmer (head).

Vollmer's absence would be a larger concern if it didn't seem like offensive tackle Matt Light was ready to make his comeback from a knee injury. Vollmer has filled in admirably for Light, who went down against Denver in Week 5. Light has had limited participation all week.

Players with limited participation were as follows:

WR Sam Aiken (hip)
LB Eric Alexander (groin)
TE Chris Baker (shoulder)
LB Tully Banta-Cain (groin)
NT Ron Brace (ankle)
S Pat Chung (head)
DE Jarvis Green (knee)
T Nick Kaczur (ankle)
RB Sammy Morris (knee)
G Stephen Neal (head)
LB Rob Ninkovich (knee)
DE Ty Warren (ankle)
LB Pierre Woods (groin)

The only two members of the Saints who did not participate werre wide receiver Lance Moore and guard Carl Nicks.
