Milan Lucic Out for a Month With High Ankle Sprain Just four games after returning to the lineup after missing more than a month with a broken thumb, forward Milan Lucic will be out at least another month with a high ankle sprain, according to Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli.

Lucic left the Bruins’ 2-1shootout win over the Wild on Wednesday night after sustaining what appeared to be a knee injury, but as Chiarelli reported Friday morning, the injury isn’t as severe.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder potted a pair of goals since his return on Nov. 19 in Atlanta to go with four penalty minutes.

“Certainly, I expected worse,” Chiarelli told the Globe. “But if you look at [the replay] really closely, he broke the fall with his hands.”
