Patriots Center Dan Koppen Held Out of Wednesday's Practice The Patriots were missing some key components in Wednesday’s practice in preparation for Sunday’s AFC showdown against Indianapolis.

Center Dan Koppen, who left Sunday’s 27-17 win over Miami in the second quarter with a right knee injury, was held out of practice. If he misses Sunday’s game, it could be a big blow to New England’s offensive line.

During an appearance on WEEI earlier this week, quarterback Tom Brady said, “I’ve taken so many snaps from [Koppen] over the years and we have such great communication between the two of us and he’s one of my best friends on the team. Dan [Connolly] stepped in [on Sunday] and really played very well. It’s always tough to do and that center-quarterback exchange is something that you have no play if you can’t get that.”

Also held out of practice was offensive tackle Matt Light (knee), safety Brandon Meriweather (foot), linebacker Eric Alexander (groin), wide receiver Brandon Tate (knee) and defensive end Ty Warren (ankle).

Wide receiver Randy Moss did not practice for non-injury related reasons.

On the Colts’ side of things, kicker Adam Vinatieri did not practice because of a knee injury.
