The Dodgers pitcher reportedly shot himself in the leg at a shooting range, according to Diamond Leung of Diamond Notes. The report says the incident occurred in Nicaragua and that the injury was not deemed serious. Another report said that Padilla was accidentally shot by his body guard.

He is a Type B free agent heading into the 2010 season.
