David Beckham Brings Flock of Seagulls Look to World Cup Fashion experts and tabloid typists fail to blast David Beckham, no matter how foolish he may sometimes look. Unfortunately for him, we here at NESN.com are far from being fashionistas.

Beckham, the world’s most recognizable face, arrived in South Africa for the 2010 World Cup draw on Friday. There’s no word yet on how well his Flock of Seagulls cover band’s act went following the draw.

Kesselmania I hits Boston on Saturday, and some Bruins fans are confused about how to react to their club’s leading scorer from a year ago returning to the Hub in a division rival’s colors. One Bruins fan breaks it down easily, and tosses in a classic movie quote to boot.

“The B’s might not be #1 in scoring by the end of the year but who cares!? They
don’t need to. So what if Kessel has been scoring goals. Hey what place is
Toronto in again? In the words of the great Shooter Mcgavin..What place did he
finish again? Oh dead last? Yeh he played great though. The bottom line is
anyone who thinks toronto will finish higher than the bruins and even make the
playoffs in the East is on some sick peyote. Who cares about what he does. Let
him score goals on a LOSER team. Good for them. Can’t wait for the top 5 draft
pick.”

It was an exciting night in the NBA as LeBron James had his dancing shoes on and Kobe Bryant went straight to the bank. Although many Boston fans would have loved seeing King James put court jester Joakim Noah in his place, nothing tops Bryant’s game-winning buzzer-beater from downtown. I didn’t hear him call “bank” though.
