Don Cherry Night Rescheduled Due to Inclement Weather

BOSTON, MA – Due to the possibility of inclement weather on Friday, Don Cherry will be unable to travel to Boston Wednesday as originally planned so that he can be available to CBC for Hockey Night in Canada.

Don Cherry Night will be rescheduled for a later date.

Cherry was originally scheduled to return to Boston to join NESN's Kathryn Tappen and Mike Milbury as a guest studio analyst on Dec. 30, 2009, when the Bruins host the Atlanta Thrashers.

Cherry coached the Bruins from 1974 to 1979, winning the Jack Adams Award for coach of the year in 1976. Cherry, well known for his passion for hockey and his colorful attire, joined CBC in 1980 as co-host of the popular "Coach's Corner" segment. Cherry has now been at CBC for 29 years as a commentator and analyst on Hockey Night in Canada and for CBC's Winter Olympics coverage.
