Marco Sturm's Two Goals Nets Him Arbella Player of the Week The Bruins enjoyed a well-deserved break after a chaotic month of November — a stretch in which the Bruins played 14 games and went 7-3-4. Yet after a three-day break from game action, Marco Sturm picked up right where he and his teammates left off.

In Wednesday night's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Garden, the B's jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one period. In the second, Sturm made sure that this one wouldn't get away.

The winger wristed a shot on net that Lightning goaltender Mike Smith couldn't corral. Mark Recchi took some whacks at the loose puck before Sturm crashed the net and scored his seventh goal of the season.

Just minutes later, Sturm again flew toward the net, this time accepting a perfect pass from Patrice Bergeron that Sturm deposited into the back of the net to give the Bruins a 4-0 lead. Sturm finished the night plus-3.
