Padres GM Jed Hoyer on Boston's Chances of Landing Adrian Gonzalez As NESN’s Tom Caron says, the rain may be falling in Indianapolis, but that isn’t stopping the reign of new San Diego Padres general manager Jed Hoyer.

Hoyer, who assisted Red Sox GM Theo Epstein throughout most of his career in Boston, was awarded the GM job out West after Kevin Towers was
dismissed at the end of the 2009 season.

TC caught up with Hoyer
at the winter meetings in Indianapolis on Tuesday, as Hoyer looks to make a splash
in his first big assignment.
