Peter Gammons Discusses NESN, John Lackey at Monday's Bruins Game Peter Gammons may be a baseball guy, but that doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy a little bit of hockey every now and then.

The Hall of Fame baseball writer and the newest addition to NESN’s team joined Kathryn Tappen and Barry Pedersen on the set at the TD Garden during the first intermission of Monday’s Bruins game to discuss his role at NESN, the Red Sox’ bid for John Lackey and the Winter Classic.

“Whether you have Adrian Beltre at third, or Adrian Gonzalez at first, and you improve the defense — which was the second-worst in baseball last year — plus get John Lackey, [the Red Sox] could be pretty good,” Gammons said.
