It looks like Jason Bay is headed for New York, but not to the Yankees. The Mets will announce the signing of Bay early next week pending a physical, WFAN's Mike Francesa reports.

Francesa broke the news during the 2:00 hour of his show, Mike'd Up: Francesa on the Fan, on WFAN in New York on Tuesday. He also reported that Bengie Molina is seeking a three-year deal, while the Mets are only offering a one-year deal plus a vesting option.

SI.com's Jon Heyman confirmed the agreement between Bay and the Mets via his Twitter page.

The New York Post's Joel Sherman reports, via his Twitter page, that Bay's deal is a four-year deal worth $66 million with a vesting option for a fifth year that would make the deal a five-year deal worth $80 million.
