Tom Brady, Randy Moss Not Present at Patriots Practice

In the midst of the endless Randy Moss talk, the Patriots are actually preparing to play an NFL football game.

They're getting it started, though, without Moss.

The wide receiver was absent from practice on Wednesday, though that is not necessarily unusual. Moss has missed Wednesday practices several times this season for "non-injury" reasons.

Perhaps more concerning for the Patriots was the absence of Tom Brady, who was present for his weekly news conference earlier in the day. Brady had the same status last Wednesday, when he addressed the media and confirmed the birth of his son before practice began without him (and four other players, you may remember).

Also absent were Vince Wilfork (who left Sunday's game with a foot injury) and Ty Warren (ankle).

Nine players were listed as having limited participation in practice, including Ben Watson (knee), Julian Edelman (forearm), Tully Banta-Cain (shoulder), Fred Taylor (ankle) and Jarvis Green (knee).
