Tom Brady Returns to Practice for Patriots, 'Questionable' to Play Against Panthers It hasn't been a week full of extraordinarily good news in Foxborough, but here's a golden nugget for Patriots fans: Tom Brady is back at work.

The quarterback returned to practice on Friday morning, according to ESPNBoston.com reporter and NESN insider Mike Reiss. Brady had missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, listed on the injury report with shoulder, finger and rib ailments. The addition of the rib injury to the report led to speculation that he sustained some sort of injury when he took a hard hit in the first quarter on Sunday, though nothing is known for sure. After that play — a 58-yard touchdown strike to Randy Moss — Brady ran to the locker room but returned in time to take the field on the next possession.

The Patriots will release a full injury report later on Friday afternoon that will detail Brady's participation in practice. Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen, also gave birth to the couple's first child this week, which could have contributed at least partially to Brady's absence from practice.

Last week, the addition of a finger injury next to Brady's name on the report caused a minor stir. Brady has been listed as probable with a right shoulder ailment for years, but the unknown finger injury was new.

The QB was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.
