Boston College's 2009 football season ended with a tough loss to USC in the Emerald Bowl the day after Christmas — but the disappointment didn't end there for the Eagles.

On Sunday, linebacker Dominick LeGrande was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, according to Boston.com. Police reports say that LeGrande was leaving a bar near his home in Staten Island, N.Y., when he was tagged by police as he got into his mother's car. Police were watching the bar because of its reputation for being a hangout for young drinkers.

The junior linebacker failed a breathalyzer test and was arrested.

BC officials are in the process of "investigating the report," according to Boston.com.
