Brett Favre's Rendition of 'Pants on the Ground' Delights Audiences When Simon Cowell first heard General Larry Platt's now famous words, he made a prediction: "I could see that becoming a hit."

Just five days later, the 62-year-old American Idol contestant's self-penned "Pants on the Ground" audition song has gone viral, reaching audiences far beyond those who faithfully tune into the Fox smash every Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre made Platt's anthem even more famous on
Sunday afternoon, when he led his teammates in a stirring rendition following Minnesota's 34-3 throttling of the Cowboys in the NFC
playoffs.

The former civil rights activist from Atlanta wowed the Idol judges with his simple ditty that revolves around a  refrain of, "Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground." Unfortunately, he was not granted a golden ticket to Hollywood because he exceeds the Idol age cutoff by approximately 30 years.

Perhaps Favre and Platt will both be invited to the Idol finale to perform together.
