The Bruins recalled forward Drew Larman on Monday morning. This would indicate that Steve Begin is out for Monday's matinee with the Senators, while the status of leading scorer Patrice Bergeron remains a question mark.
There will be player availability to the media at 10:30 a.m. and head coach Claude Julien is scheduled to address the media at 11:50 a.m. prior to the team's divisional tilt at 1 p.m. Julien is expected to update the status of Bergeron then and announce whether or not he will return to the lineup. Monday marks exactly two weeks since he broke his thumb at New York. Bergeron has been practicing with the team over the past week, wearing a splint on his injured thumb.
Larman has five goals and four assists in 43 games with the Providence Bruins. This is the first time he has been recalled by the Bruins. Larman has played in 22 career NHL games with two goals and one assist, all with the Florida Panthers. His last NHL game played was with Florida on Feb. 29, 2008 when they played the Wild.
