The Celtics defeated the Lakers in the 2008 NBA Finals, but have failed to beat the Lakers in merchandise sales.

For the second consecutive year, the Celtics finished behind the Lakers in team merchandise sales, InsideHoops.com reports. The rankings are based on sales at New York City’s NBA Store and NBAStore.com since the start of the 2009-2010 NBA season.

Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce had the most popular Celtics jerseys. Garnett and Pierce finished sixth and eighth, respectively, in the rankings of the most popular NBA player jerseys.

Kobe Bryant‘s jersey was the top seller.
