Randy Moss won't be participating in his seventh career Pro Bowl, after all.

The Patriots' receiver was named an alternate to the 2010 Pro Bowl, but he will
not play in the game because of an injury and his spot will be filled by Bengals
receiver Chad Ochocinco.

Moss wasn't listed
on the Patriots’ injury report prior to their playoff loss against the Ravens last Sunday
and he didn't miss any games this season despite battling back pain early on. The 12-year veteran was often given Wednesdays off from practice during the season.

Moss, who was originally named to the team to replace injured teammate Wes Welker, finished the 2009 season with 83 receptions for 1,264 yards and 13 touchdowns.
