Bronson Arroyo isn't just a pitcher/singer/songwriter.
The Reds pitcher, who has built himself quite the musical resume, is taking his act to the silver screen as he has accepted an acting role in the upcoming film Goat, according to the New York Post.
The Former Red Sox starter's off-field fame began in 2005 when he released his debut CD "Covering the Bases." Since then, he has appeared in commercials for JTM Food Group and is a regular at the annual Hot Stove Cool Music charity event in Boston.
Arroyo will play a role alongside former MLB player Eduardo Perez in the independent film, which is being produced by Irena Angeliades. The film will be featuring The Sopranos stars William DeMeo and Vincent Pastore, as well as Ice-T and Armand Assante.
According to the report, Arroyo and Perez weren't on top of Angeliades' list for the small roles. The stars of MTV's Jersey Shore were approached with offers but declined due to their busy schedules.
